When a ticket no longer measures class

This leads to a thought about fairness. Tunisia sit thirtieth in the world yet are certain to be present, while many European teams ranked above them must wait. Awarding a berth to the African champion is a development tool, keeping volleyball anchored in a market where Olympic presence is leverage for investment and sponsorship. Seen through globalisation, it is a reasonable choice. Seen purely through results, it generates debate.
