The path to Worlds 2026 for Dplus KIA was far from easy. After the first matches of the LCK Playoffs, ShowMaker's team officially secured a top-4 finish by defeating KT Rolster 3-1 on Friday. This result not only earned DK a ticket to Worlds but also sent KT Rolster to the Demacia Cup Global Invitational.
Notably, just a few days earlier, Dplus KIA had suffered a 0-3 defeat to the same KT Rolster. That lackluster performance worried fans, especially since DK had just won the Esports World Cup and were in strong form during the mid-season of LCK.
Furthermore, DK nearly fell into a dangerous situation when BNK FEARX took a 2-0 lead in their previous match. However, the team quickly regained their form, completed a reverse sweep, and then defeated KT Rolster to secure a spot in the LCK top 4.
